What are heirloom vegetables and why grow them? Learn from Penn State Master Gardener Barb Kline what defines a plant as an heirloom and why their stories should be cherished. See and taste the difference. Registration is required.
Barb Kline co-owned and operated an organic urban farm in Pittsburgh for more than a decade. After attending the second international Slow Food experiences, she developed a passion to help preserve the genetic diversity of the seed supply by growing heirloom vegetables and saving seeds.
