Author Mark Macedonia published his first novel, The Soles of Cyrus Eblis in February 2019, and has followed it with Beneath A Crescent Moon in March 2023, and Beware the Shifting Sands in March 2024.

Silhouettes of the Dark is author Mark Macedonia's fourth novel, set in 1916 before the United States sent troops into the conflict in Europe. It introduces Dr. Francis Nash, a professor of history at the University of Pittsburgh and an undercover agent for the Office of Naval Intelligence. Dr. Nash is assigned to courier sensitive photographs to a British Secret Intelligence agent and has a chance meeting with the beautiful and mysterious Peggy Harrelson who immerses Nash in murder and a deadly cat-and-mouse chase throughout war-torn Europe.

Author Bio: A native of Western PA, Macedonia is a former high school Social Studies teacher, who taught AP World History and United States History in the Seneca Valley School District. Macedonia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He resides north of Pittsburgh with his wife Sandy, and their English retriever, Kimba.
