Every Tuesday afternoon will feature various activities including colorful guest programming by Tree Pittsburgh, PPG, Latodami Nature Center, Graeter's Ice Cream, and Home Depot in Cranberry!
July 1: PPG Science Discovery
-Our friends at PPG will share a hands-on demonstration & invite participants to learn some colorful science.
Coffee Filter Chromatography: Kids will learn the fundamentals of chromatography through a fun and easy demonstration with coffee filters, washable markers, and water.
Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test: Kids can take turns taking the hue test where they rearrange a variety of shades to learn about color differentiation.
This group consists of PPG Scientists, including bench chemists and group leaders, who possess expertise in a diverse range of chemistries. All members are based at the Coatings Innovation Center (CIC), PPG's research facility focused on the latest advancements in material science.
These events are for children ages 6 & up, except for Latodami Nature Center and Graeter's Ice Cream which are for all ages. Registration is required.
