Program Description

Event Details

This course will introduce learners to programming concepts through the creative and visual coding style via Python's Turtle module. Turtle makes learning to code engaging, interactive, and is mainly utilized to teach beginners how to think in code by controlling a turtle that moves across the screen and draws images. Along with this, students will also learn the basics of Python, a widely popular computer coding language. Individualized feedback will be provided by the instructor. Laptops with the capacity to download programs will be necessary for this course.

Students of all ages are welcome, but this course is best suited for those 8-14 years old. This course will begin on Saturday, January 11, and continue to run every other Saturday for four months. Please keep in mind this series is cumulative, so attendance is encouraged for all eight classes. Registration is required.
